Book Review: He Will Be My Ruin by K.A. Tucker

Sadly, this wasn’t

my favorite from K.A. Tucker.

3 stars. 🙁

It could be because I bought the novel from

the romance section in the bookstore, but

this is not a romance.

Had I known this was more of a

sensual cozy mystery,

I probably would’ve enjoyed it much more.

The whole time I kept waiting to fall in love

with a dark alpha and found myself singing,

“Where’s the love?”

It also took a hundred pages to

get me to care about the mystery.

Super slow beginning.

Some sex, but not really descriptive.

That being said, I fuck with Tucker’s books all day.

I’ll be checking out some of her other works soon.

FIRST LOOK: Theirs to Crave

It’s all about continuing and finishing series this year. 1st Round Beta Readers approved the Theirs to Crave (Billionaire Games #2).

[Warning] Dark Multicultural Romance. Psychological Suspense. Twisted Love Triangle. Two Dark Alphas. Definitely Sex.

I’m revising the manuscript some more and adding some suggestions (as well as fixing some intriguing critiques that were raised). The 2nd Round of Beta Reads for Theirs to Crave will begin this weekend.

I’m hoping for a Feb release. 🙂

Meanwhile, Meet my muse for Caden.

((((((((((((((((((Dawn talking about Caden))))))))))))))))))))))))

Raised in Charleston.
His mother was black.
His father white.

Both had died from drug overdoses.

Which was why he had those
hard edges
around
those haunting eyes.

He’d raised himself on the streets
and then became a billionaire
by his late twenties.

That wasn’t ambition.

That was the raging force of the world
boiling and bursting
in one man.

But Caden wasn’t a man.

He was a wild animal.
A beast.
He took.
He savaged.
He ripped things apart
and sniffed
for more meat
and bones
to gnaw on.

He was dangerous.

Terror radiated from those beautiful eyes
as if they caged the devil himself
and refused to let the motherfucker go.

He was a man of games
and twisted mind fucks.

Why did he show up now?

I stepped back from Caden. “What do you want from me?”

“Everything.” He closed the distance between us. “You’ve always known that.”
