I get a lot of emails from fans asking what they should read next.
I’m going to suggest the most addicting path.
LET’S BEGIN with breaking down my bestselling Interracial Romances!!
Reason I wrote it: I wanted to play around with the idea of bending (and blending) genres.
Dark. Comedy. Interracial Romance. Suspense. Some supernatural elements.
Mary Jane, a struggling comedienne, stumbled into the wrong club at the wrong time. She didn’t notice the gangster gripping the gun and the two scary men on his sides. She just jumped on the stage, tested the microphone, and went into her routine.
This is a twisted and mind-bending concept of a gangster romance.
***Warning: This book contains adult language, graphic violence, and explicit sex that may be disturbing for some readers. This book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.***
When the Smoke Clears
Reason I wrote it: I wanted to explore how people use love to heal pain.
A firefighter meets an author struggling with writer’s block and divorce. I think this is a good start because it’s one of my most recent novel with lots of praise from fans. It was a cathartic experience writing it because I put a lot of my open experiences and emotions into this one.
Additionally, this is a great example of my recent craze for meta-fiction. The author writes a paranormal romance within the novel, between a witch and a demon.
***No mystery, but there’s tension.
***Lots of hot scenes. The romance takes it’s time, but the characters are pretty freaky.
_________The Gateway Drug Books __________
“I am your god.”
Chasing Love Series
Reason I wrote it: I became totally addicted to Sylvia Day’s BARED TO YOU series. I remember wishing that there was a mystery in it and . . .some black people. 🙂
I love to merge my favorite genres together–romance and mystery. Add a high-end luxury setting, an alpha that doesn’t accept no, and a independent heroine that loves to do it her way, and now you have a Kenya Wright novel. Tons of twists!
Super sexual tension.
***Book 1 starts the mystery that grows and gets monstrous as the series continues. Book 1 isn’t blood. Book 2 and 3 get pretty raw. And. . .people do die in this book.
He choked me.
Right as he let me breathe,
I came hard, gasping so loud my ears rang.
No Ordinary Love
Reason I wrote it: I’ve always wanted to write about erotic asphyxiation and also set an interracial romance in Tokyo.
Hot Sex in Japan with a Mysterious Alpha. I did tons of research on Tokyo. Loved writing this!
I think this is a good novel to come down from the Chasing Love series high. And for those that didn’t enjoy An Arrangement of Love, this is a good one to dig into next.
“Hook up with you?” He chuckled. “Rainbow? I’d spread you wide open and consume your soul. You’d have nothing left to give to another man.”
Flirting with Chaos
Reason I wrote it: I wanted to explore mental illness’s link to creative genius.
Rock star romance between friends that are children of rock legends. The hero Jude is slowly making his own name and rising to the top. The heroine suffered a serious trauma that makes her a bit. . .looney.
It’s fun and hot, but at times pretty twisted.
Roman had the kind of face that stroked the wicked parts of the body—ripe lips, tanned skin, midnight hair and a smooth grin. Strong and defined, his cheekbones made me want to nibble them.
His jaw was a work of art in a deep, catastrophic way, because although it was beautiful I wanted to do so many naughty things to it. Things that one didn’t do with a human jaw. I wanted to rub my sex all over its angular length until I came. I wanted to use my nipples to trace circles all over it. I wanted to fuck him hard. I wanted to bite. I wanted to gnaw. I wanted to grip his bed sheets and moan as he moved on top of me.
Reason I wrote it: I wanted to explore all of the great sexual orgies in history.
If Eyes Wide Shut and The Da Vinci Code had a one night stand in a dark alley while it was raining, then this novel would be there baby. The main setting of this story is a masquerade ball where sex lathers every inch of the castle, and all masked guests are welcome to explore any desire
College life gets nasty.
“Sometimes love makes you do dumb shit.”
Coventon Campus Trilogy
Reason I wrote it: I wanted to explore those crazy college years, where we tend to make some of the craziest mistakes in love.
How far should someone go for love?
Until it’s no longer convenient, or until it’s tearing apart their soul? Evie soon realizes that love isn’t always easy and loving someone isn’t as simple as it seems. Sometimes, it’s COMPLICATED.
The series deals with alternative relationship styles. However, by the end. . .there’s definetly a clear HEA with the heroine and a particular hero
ARE YOU STILL THERE?
(Thanks for continuing)
So here’s the moment where you have to make a serious decision. Do you want to see how deep the rabbit hole goes? How twisted and sick I can get.
OR would you like to leave Wonderland and lounge in a safe space?
Red or Blue pill, People?!!
RED PILL BOOKS
(The painful truth of reality ) My Dark Phase
“I’m your favorite nightmare and your worst dream all in one. I’m everything you shouldn’t want. And you’re everything I need.”
By now, I have your trust to take you on a darker path in romance. This duet deals with a serial killer called CUPID. I won’t sugarcoat this series. There’s some gory scenes, but not many. Super dark and twisted, but really a pretty fucking amazing pair of books.
I co-wrote these novels with Jade Eby.
The papers call him Cupid. The masked man who’s murdered five. His specialty is in broken love and he shows no signs of stopping what he does best: killing.
Diana Carson is determined to find out who Cupid really is with the financial backing from millionaire, Asher Bishop.
Together, they’ll embark on a journey to find Cupid, but can they do it before they destroy each other? And is the hunt worth the kill?
The Bad for You Trilogy
The best time to kill a man. . .
is right before he comes.
Reason I wrote it: I always wanted to write about a female serial killer.
“Quentin Tarantino meets Love Jones.”
Melody bases her kills off of the chess moves in her head.
The game is set.
Who will win or die?
***Gets emotionally intense as the series continues.
Short and sexy stories!!
****MY PARANORMAL ROMANCES***
“One downside of living with a Were-cheetah
is that he purrs when he’s happy.
At times, the apartment vibrated
all day from MeShack’s enjoyment of life.”
Santeria Habitat Series
Reason I wrote it: I was tired of not seeing ethnic females in urban fantasy and paranormal romance.(Fire Baptized is my first book (baby)).
“If Sookie Stackhouse is a penny, then Lanore Vesta is a million dollars. This is the next best thing!” —Pavarti K. Tyler, author, Two Moons of Sera
***Love Triangle with two very capable and hot alphas.
***World-building based on Santeria mythology
***Mystery and romance plotline
Vampire King Trilogy
“She needs her freedom, but I won’t let her have it.”
Not your average vampire romance. This happens on another planet and involves another concept of vampires.
***More hot sex as the series continues.
